'Patterns' Project in collaboration with Dr Stuart Sumida

Publication - Society of Vertebrate Paleontology's (SVP) annual conference, Brisbane, Australis. October 2019.
I collaborated with Dr Stuart Sumida on a project called ‘PATTERNS’. Using Zbrush; with interpolation and extrapolation techniques alongside scientific data, I reconstructed extinct group of pelycosaurs. While doing so, forming a hypothesis generator, for the plausible intermediate species - that potentially fills the gaps within our current knowledge, for use by students, artist and palaeontologist.
Limnoscelis-Sphenacodon-Dimetrodon. From these initial 3 species, I created 7 models that depict the potential development stages, filling the evolutionary gap. This tool was later proven invaluable, as it accurately generated a known species called Ctenospondylus, through the process of interpolation.
